PTA is thrilled to announce our 3rd annual HOPE AROUND THE WORLD!

WHERE: Hope MPR

COST: Free to everyone

We invite you to travel around the world by visiting different countries and US regions at tables throughout the MPR to explore the variety of cultures represented in our Hope community! Join us to learn about your neighbors, try delicious new foods, and watch performances from different cultures. Every child will receive a The United States of Hope passport and a stamp for every country visited.

We had 20 countries represented last year, can we beat our record?! Would you like to showcase your country or culture?

How to Participate:

Let us know if you will be providing a food or drink sample.
Join together with friends to work on a country. Many hands make everything more FUN!

Table Ideas: Be Creative, Fun & Educational!

Decorate the 6-ft folding table (PTA provided) in traditional colors and culture-specific foods, crafts or educational pieces.
Traditional attire or costumes are encouraged.
Ideas to include: Country/state flag, interesting pieces of history, popular holiday, games, national sport, dance, music, etc.

Food: You are welcome to prepare food that can be distributed in sample size. PTA to provide ramekins, small spoons, and napkins. Even the pickiest eaters are excited to try the food!

A message from Raquel Kent: “A cultural arts program at Hope is so important for the education of our children. Hope Around the World encourages inclusion as it teaches and celebrates the different traditions and diversity at Hope. Students and families in the minority can proudly share their culture, boost their confidence and connect with others in the community. I am excited to see Hope Around the World help build an even stronger community!”

INTRODUCING OUR NEWST PROGRAM...

DECEMBER 3rd - 9th

We have an exciting new program coming to our school: PENGUIN PATCH! Hope PTA is hosting a Penguin Patch Holiday Shop in the MPR on December 3rd-6th. Hawks can experience the joy of giving while buying gifts for family and friends. This is a fun way for students to shop for family members at school while learning to earn, budget, and save!

Gifts will be wrapped at the shop to keep them a surprise until your family gift exchange.
Classes will have an assigned day to visit the PENGUIN PATCH, and the shop will be open after school.
Prices range from $0.25 - $15.
A flyer and gift list budget envelope will be coming home mid-November.
Cash, checks, credit cards, and e-Wallet (aka Penguin Pay) accepted.
